PRITCHARD – The Pritchard sewer system will get another upgrade thanks to a $95,035 grant from the B.C. Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.
The grant was one of several announced for the TNRD and City of Kamloops today (March 22, 2017). MLAs Terry Lake and Todd Stone made the announcements on the front steps of City Hall.
The Pritchard grant will cover a new sewer backup generator and other upgrades. The Pritchard system has received several hundred thousand dollars in upgrades over the past couple of years.
Other TNRD projects receiving grants from the provincial fund include $1.7 million for water supply in Clearwater, $232,400 for the Clearwater septage receiving station, and $2 million for sewage treatment plant upgrades at Sun Peaks.
The City will receive $1 million in BikeBC funding towards the first phase of the Peterson Creek multi-use path, which will be 1.7 km. long and three metres wide with an asphalt surface and path lighting.
