BLACK PINES — Information meetings on upcoming utility-rate changes for Electoral Area P get underway tonight (Nov. 17, 2016) beginning with Black Pines.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Whispering Pines hall. In addition to discussion of water rates, residents will have a chance to get an update on progress on the water-system upgrade. The TNRD approved allocation of $60,000 last week to go toward test drilling for possible groundwater sources.
The Pritchard meeting will be Monday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Pritchard Community Hall, 1941 Duck Range Road. Evergreen residents will meet on Monday, Nov. 28, 6:30 p.m. at the Heffley Creek Community Hall.
And a discussion of rates for the Paul Lake sewer system is tentatively set for Thursday, Dec. 1, 6:30 p.m. at the Pinantan elementary school, subject to confirmation of availability of the school.
Meetings have already been held in several communities in other electoral areas, with more forthcoming.
