Area P grant for health centre will help Sun Peaks to attract a doctor

Sun Peaks Health Centre currently operates out of this modular.

Sun Peaks Health Centre will move from this modular to new building.

I’ve received a very gracious letter from Mayor Al Raine regarding the $117,000 allocation to the Sun Peaks Health Centre from Electoral Area P gas tax funding and explaining how that money will help the project.

The new health centre will be a tremendous benefit not only to residents of and visitors to Sun Peaks, but also to Area P residents, especially those living between Heffley Creek and Whitecroft, as well as along the Heffley Louis Creek Road north and Knouff Lake Road.

As Mayor Raine points out, this is particularly important given the current doctor shortage.
