PINANTAN — Cigar-box guitars, naturally grown produce, healthy coffee, jewelry, slushies, hotdogs and hamburgers — you could get it all at the 3rd Annual Pinantan Lake Country Fair today (Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016).
Despite some windy weather, there was an excellent turnout for the fair, held at the Pinantan Lake elementary school grounds. Residents and visitors strolled among the booths to learn about such things as the Pinantan Lake Fire Association, Wildsafe B.C., and the TNRD’s mosquito control program, and talk to private vendors selling everything from veggies to crafts to a portable urban chicken coop.
They watched horsemanship presentations by Jandana Ranch, enjoyed the concessions and listened to the music of popular local musician Dave Coalmine. All in all, a very successful day.
