Vinsulla passing lane contract awarded for $2.6 million

VINSULLA — The  Vinsulla passing lane project has been awarded to Borrow Enterprises Ltd. of Clearwater for $2,629,912.83.

The contract was awarded June 9, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure announced this week. The project, which runs from 3.8 km. north of the intersection with Josephine Road and extends 2.3 km. towards McLure, includes a northbound passing lane, barriers and rumble strips, as well as a commercial truck pullout.

Construction is expected to start later this month, with completion by the end of October.

The project was announced last year and is one of several intended to increase safety on the Yellowhead Highway.
