PRITCHARD — Debris that has been accumulating at the Pritchard Bridge will be removed this summer, says the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

I heard from Donna Barrett this week, who said boaters using the Pritchard boat launch are becoming concerned about the amount of debris that has collected this year at the bridge pass through.

“There is currently a large tree hooked on one of the logs,” she wrote.

“The log chain that funnels debris through has let go allowing (logs) and other debris to gather. “

She wanted to know how to get the problem fixed.

Peter Gooch of the Ministry provided a quick response, saying the Ministry has gone to tender to have the debris removed, and it’s expected to be completed this summer.
