PRITCHARD — The new grandstand at the rodeo grounds was installed recently and looks terrific.
TNRD Director Ken Gillis of Electoral Area L committed federal gas tax money for the project, and I topped it up with gas money from Area P.
Gas tax funds are provided to local government to direct to eligible projects under specific criteria. The TNRD distributes the funds to electoral areas based on population, with EA directors getting approval from the board for their use.
The old wooden grandstand in Pritchard was in poor repair when the Pritchard Community Association applied for funding help last year.
