A new promotional video for the Thompson-Nicola region will be debuted Feb. 18 during a meeting of the TNRD board of directors.
A press release said today (Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016) the final version of “The Region of B.C.’s Best” will be shown at the meeting. The video is aimed at building awareness of the “best and most significant attributes” of the TNRD.
Due to the vastness of the TNRD, not every iconic attraction made the cut, the release says.
“For example, we couldn’t show all the guest ranches in the TNRD, but we showed a few different styles,” said Vicci Weller of the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission.
Kamloops-based Joy Factory Films was hired to shoot the video, which showcases attributes from agriculture, transportation, healthcare, natural resources, education, technology, culture and tourism in the TNRD’s 11 municipalities and 10 electoral areas.
The board meeting starts at 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 18 and is open to the public.
