Freedom to Read Week Feb. 21-27

freedomtoreadThe TNRD Library System is celebrating Freedom to Read Week with a draw for a chance to win a Chapters gift card.

A press release from the TNRD says the contest is open to all TNRD library members.

Freedom to Read Week runs Feb. 21 to 27, encouraging Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom as guaranteed in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

To enter the contest, go to a library branch any time during February and fill out a ballot.

Also, the Kamloops Library will host a series of free adult drop-in programs: French Conversation, Feb. 13 and March 12, 10-11 a.m.; Adult Story Time, Feb. 26 and March 18, 12:15-12:45 p.m.; and Scrapbooking Sundays, Feb. 21 and March 20, 12-4 p.m.
