Whitecroft meeting on land use

— A town hall meeting on land use and planning in Whitecroft will be held Monday, Nov. 9 at the Heffley Creek Community Hall.

The TNRD is reviewing the issue of land use contracts, a development vehicle that existed for several years in the 1970s and are now being phased out and converted to zoning under a provincial government decision.

The original LUC for Whitecroft was established in the early 1970s. The meeting will provide an overview of the issues with respect to LUCs, along with some history, proposed zoning, and a look at the implications for existing duplex lots.

An open house will start things off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting, and a Q&A at 8 p.m.
