The TNRD announced today (March 19) it will hold a series of free disposal days at various eco-depots and transfer stations in the region from April through June.
The TNRD says residents may bring one free load per household to their local eco-depot or transfer station on event day. One load is defined as a maximum of one eight-foot pickup box or one eight-foot trailer. No business or commercial loads are accepted for free.
“Be prepared to wait in line, it will be a busy day,” says the TNRD.
Many items are free to drop off year-round. For full details see the TNRD’s website.
Sites that normally accept only bagged household waste will also accept demolition/renovation/construction waste plus furniture and mattresses. Sites include Lac le Jeune, Black Pines, Tranquille Valley, Brookmere and Aspen Grove.
Residents are asked to tarp and secure their loads. Unsecure material can result in a $100 fine.
